Moth

Some moths fight back against bats with ultrasonic clicks. A 2009 Science study found tiger moths emit rapid clicks as a bat closes in, jamming echolocation and skewing distance estimates. This is part of a long evolutionary arms race between bats and moths.

Sloths risk their lives weekly climbing down to poop — because of moths. Moths lay eggs in sloth dung, then return to live in sloth fur. Their activity grows green algae on the fur, which sloths eat. Their own body becomes a snack farm.
